Where to vote

At a "polling station" (called a "polling place" in Scotland); a poll card sent beforehand shows the location and date.

Key facts

Stations are open 7am–10pm on election day; staff check name, address and photo ID before handing out a ballot paper to complete privately in a booth
Anyone who finds it hard to get to a polling station can register for a postal vote instead
